The Alchemy of Breath - Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne Feb 2019

Posted on behalf of Breathing Space

You are invited to join us for an Alchemy of Breath workshop, from 10am - 1pm at the Lansdowne Hotel in Eastbourne on the 10 February 2019.

The Alchemy of Breath is a powerful approach to self exploration, healing and transformation. The process uses a simple connected breathing technique to activate the natural healing process within each participant. By combining a specific pattern of breath with evocative music in a safe and comfortable setting, each person is supported to enter a non ordinary, relaxed stae of consciouness.

In this state of consciousness, you may have experiences ranging from the physical to the spiritual, but everyone's journey will be different. You will be the author of your own experience and will ultimately control how deep you go.

The Alchemy of Breath is a safe and gentle process that encourages everyone to experience, express and release their emotions. It is deeply healing and energising and suitable for all people.

The cost for this workshop is £25, however we do not wish price to be a barrier. If this is genuinely too much for you, please get in touch and we may be able to offer you a half price karma place.

We look forward to breathing with you!

Benedict

Working Together for a Healthier Future

Posted on behalf of East Sussex Healthy Weight Partnership

Registration is now open for the East Sussex Healthy Weight Partnership's Working Together for a Healtheir Future event taking place at The View Hotel in Eastbourne on 5th February 2019.

This event is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the achievements of partners working to reduce obesity and increase physical activity under the existing East Sussex Healthy Weight Plan. It is also an opportunity to begin the development of a new plan which will describe how the whole system can work together over the next three years to improve the health of our population.

We hope to achieve this by building a picture of the consequences of obesity in East Sussex and how they are impacting on us. We will also discuss the local contributors and causes driving obesity across the county and potential actions to tackle the issue.

Come and join us to find out more about the great work going on in our county and contribute to the future direction of the East Sussex Healthy Weight Partnership and its whole systems approach to tackling obesity.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Please let us know if you have any dietary or access requirements by using the Contact The Organiser button when you reply.

Please note, places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. A full agenda for the event will be added shortly.

Eastbourne Gong Bath: Welcoming the Energies of the New Year

Posted on behalf of Patricia Carlota (www.sonicsoul.uk)

Welcome to the Gong Space. You are most welcome!

A 90 minutes gong bath with gongs and other therapeutic instruments including Himalayan singing bowls, shruti box, voice, bells, shamanic percussion, chimes, bells.

An invitation to relax, let go and be immersed in sound healing.

We will be working with guided meditation before being immersed in the sound of the gongs and related sound tools; and the intention for this session is to welcome the energies of the New Year, a new chapter in time.

(WHAT IS A GONG BATH)
A Gong Bath is a form of Sound Healing. The term 'bath' signifies being bathed in sound waves - there is no water or touching involved. Fully clothed, you are invited to lay comfortably on a yoga mat (or sit on a chair/cushion if you find it more comfortable), wrap yourself in a blanket, close your eyes, relax, and be cocooned in sound. The session provides a safe space to re-generate, re-nourish, and re-set.

(THINGS TO KNOW)
